California Academic Senate approves Supply Chain Technology as a New Discipline

Led by Norco College, the California State Academic Senate approved Supply Chain Technology (SCT) at its Spring Plenary session as a new academic discipline for the 112 community colleges in California.

This development established the minimum qualifications required for faculty teaching in this discipline and will provide a welcome opportunity for additional CA Community Colleges to adopt courses and programs in the emerging area of supply chain technology.  Norco College hosts the National Center for Supply Chain Technology Education, funded by the National Science Foundation’s ATE program, which developed an industry-led model academic program and academic resources.
